Project Summary
The City of National City is upgrading portions of the community’s sewer system to improve reliability and capacity. The scope of work will remove and replace the existing 6-inch sewer main with new 8-inch and 10-inch SDR PVC pipe along E. 4th Street and Harbison Avenue. Work will include replacement of existing sewer manholes, mainline segments, laterals, and clean outs, as well as associate concrete and roadway pavement improvements.

UPDATE:
- Contractor continued installation of sewer laterals and sewer manholes along Harrison Ave and began concrete improvements along E 4th Street.
- Contractor will continue to replace and install new sewer laterals, and asphalt pavement restoration.
- Contractor will continue with placing new concrete improvements along E 4th Street.
- E 4th Street from the Euclid Ave to Harbison Ave will have traffic control measures in place and detour routes will be deployed around the area.
