Project Summary
Project includes removal and replacement of the multi-purpose athletic field, sports lighting system, both basketball courts, and playground equipment; new electronic scoreboard; lighting retrofits for the basketball courts, tennis courts, and park restrooms; resurfacing and restriping of the tennis courts; new pickleball courts with fencing and lighting retrofits; new park lighting, walking paths, ADA improvements, and bicycle connections; repaving and restriping of the parking lot on the west side of the park; landscaping and drainage improvements; public safety cameras; park signage; trash receptacles and recycling containers; picnic tables, benches and shade structures.

Past 2 Weeks
- The contractor began field restoration on August 17.
- Windscreens were installed at the tennis courts.
- Trash receptacles were installed throughout the park.
- Parking lot striping began on the west side of the park.
- Existing joints and sealant were repaired in preparation for applying the color coating.
2 Week Look Ahead
- The contractor will continue field restoration activities, including final grading and preparation for turf installation.
- Final touch-ups to the basketball court color coating will be completed, and the basketball hoops will be installed in preparation for reopening the courts to the public.
Locations Impacted
- The West side of El Toyon Park and the adjacent parking lot will be closed for construction
- The East side of El Toyon Park will remain open, with the areas of construction designated & cautioned off as needed
