PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Alley Improvements Project

The project includes reconstructing eight existing alleys subject to drainage issues with new concrete alleys, recompacting / soil stabilization for two dirt alleys (see Locations 10 and 11 on the attached project location map), and installation of pedestrian curb ramps for American with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance.

February 16, 2018

Past Two weeks:

  • Pour alley apron and pedestrian ramp Alley 5.  Image 8758
  • Clear and grub, scarify, and compact Alley 11.  Image 8755 & 8756
  • Over excavate, stabilize subgrade, place class II base, and pour Alley 9.  Image 8750

Two week look ahead:

  • Place soil binder, and compact to 95% or better Alley 11
  • Demo and pour alley apron Alley 11
  • Scarify, compact, and place soil binder Alley 10
  • Demo, and pour pedestrian ramps and alley apron Alley 10.
  • Demo, set and Pour pedestrian ramps and alley aprons Alley 9
